Rev. Dr. Clyde Bailey is lead pastor of the Faith Place Church. He and his wife of more than thirty-six years, Associate Pastor Pat Bailey, are parents to son John-Patrick and his wife, Shay. Both are avid scholars and gifted teachers of the Word. They are also sought after conference speakers locally, regionally, and now globally.
Before becoming an ordained minister and bishop, in 2010 and 2014 respectively, Dr. Bailey served as a family therapist with special focus on couples facing separation or divorce. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2006 from the Fischler School of Education and Human Services at Nova Southeastern University. For the ensuing 5 years, Dr. Bailey served as an advisor to doctoral students. He served as both Enrollment Counselor and Program Professor; chairing eight doctoral dissertation committees. He also taught classes in Educational Psychology at the master's level at campuses in South Florida and the Caribbean.
In 2012, Dr Bailey answered the call to full time ministry. First, he served as Interim Pastor at the Deerfield Church of God. Then for the nine years that followed, Dr. Bailey served as Executive Pastor and Director of Counselling Services at the Cooper City Church of God. Dr. Bailey is a published author of Brothers (You Can) Get It Right: An Intimate Conversation with Men about Marriage. He also co-authored Lifting our Literary Voices: An Anthology of Poetry, Short Stories and Essays.
