1. We believe the Holy Bible is the
inspired Word of God, infallible and inerrant. It alone is the final authority
in determining doctrines, organization and practice.
2. We believe in the one true God,
eternally existing and further revealed as the embodiment of God the Father,
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in Jesus Christ the Son of
God, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He was
crucified for the redemption of mankind, buried and rose again for our
justification, ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God
interceding for us.
4. We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who was
active in the Old Testament and revealed in the New Testament as the Promised
Comforter, Teacher, Helper and Who lives and operates in the life of each
believer. He is the One Who gives spiritual gifts to all believers and
administers the ministry gifts for the edification and growth of the local
congregation.
5. We believe in the baptism of the Holy
Spirit which empowers the believer to be an effective witness of the gospel of
Jesus Christ to a lost world. This
experience is distinct from and subsequent to salvation and is often accompanied
by the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
6. We believe in salvation through faith in
Jesus Christ, that is made possible through the death of Jesus Christ, the Son
of God, Who rose from the dead on the third day and lives forever. We believe that
salvation is obtained by believing that Jesus Christ rose triumphantly from the
dead, and confessing with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord. This results in
regeneration, justification, and adoption into the family of God.
7. We believe in water baptism by immersion
in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, is for
everyone who has been born again through faith in Jesus Christ, in obedience to
the command given by Jesus Christ.
8. We believe in celebrating the Lord’s
Supper as instituted by Jesus Christ, in remembrance of His sacrificial death.
9. We believe in divine healing and
deliverance of the sick and oppressed as seen in the life and ministry of Jesus
Christ, included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. Divine healing is
one of the gifts of the Spirit that is given to the church.
10. We believe that the believer is called to
live a life of holiness and sanctification. Holiness is a lifestyle that
consists of holy living or righteousness to the glory of God. Sanctification is an ongoing process by which
the believer experiences a closer personal relationship with Jesus, and lives a
life according to, and for God’s purpose.
11.
We believe the universal church,
otherwise called the Body of Jesus Christ, and the Bride of Jesus Christ, is
the called-out body of believers over centuries and from all over the globe. We
believe that this church is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Rock
or the Chief Cornerstone. We believe that a person becomes a member of the
church when they confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and
believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thereby they are
born again. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the church and the Holy
Spirit lives in the life of each member of the church and guarantees the
salvation of those who are members of the church.
12. We believe in the promised return of our
Lord Jesus Christ to gather His people unto Himself to live and reign with Him.
13. We further believe in the bodily
resurrection of all humanity. There will be the resurrection of the believers
at the return of Jesus Christ, and along with those who are alive and remain
all will be caught up together with the Lord to live with Him in heaven
forever. There will also be the resurrection of those who reject Jesus as Lord,
and all those whose names are not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will inherit
eternal damnation, which is the second death. Then Jesus Christ will set up his
kingdom and of that kingdom there will be no end.
